Before and After Pictures 1 week into my home made psoriasis oil

On my previous post I talked about how I made my own psoriasis cream using essential oils. I failed to mention this on my last post but its more of a psoriasis oil as it is not a solid like your typical cream but more oily. I wanted to share some photos of how the oil is working on me. These are some of my psoriasis wounds 1 week into my treatment. The first 4 pictures are the before and the last 3 are the after. As you can see the wound is still there but the scaliness is drastically improved. I apply the oil 3 times a day In the morning, midday and at night before I go to sleep. It helps a lot with my scalp psoriasis as well. If anyone has any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me.

I just began making my own "psoriasis" cream at home using Essential oils.  I have been using my cream for about a week and I have to say its working great. It seems to me that my body built a tolerance to my prescription Betamethasone steroid creme and it was doing nothing for me. After some trial and error I created my cream and I feel like I got it just right. I mixed Some organic olive oil, Organic coconut oil (it actually comes in a tub and appears solid but as soon as you put it on your skin with the warmth it becomes oily), avocado oil, A couple of drops of tea tree oil( and i do mean a couple when I first made my cream I over did it with the tea tree oil and it dried my skin out), and some Peppermint EO. Its virtually taken away the scaly look to my psoriasis spots. I have even been using it on my scalp and it has helped greatly. I use my cream and also use some scalpacin and it works great I don't have to worry about flaking all over the place. I have recently been using a Organic Lavender shampoo for my hair as well as body wash and it works better than any other Sensitive soap, it doesn't dry my skin or scalp out.

I just received a Sulfur ointment that was sent from My uncle in Mexico. It was originally made as an acne treatment but I have read online and have also had this item recommended by many people to help with psoriasis. I will post a picture of the Ointment as soon as I get a chance. It comes from Mexico but I think it might be available here in the U.S. because all of the drug facts are written in English. I am going to try it for 14 days and report my findings.

Psoriasis Shampoo's

I suffer from Psoriasis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psoriasis I have some of it on my scalp so I have been trying different shampoos to try and find the best one to get rid of the dryness, itchiness, and flakiness. I have tried Head and Shoulders most of the different ones they have, Neutrogena T-Gel, Nizoral A-D dandruff shampoo, Selsum Blue, Dr.Broners Hemp shampoo, and baby shampoo.

Head and shoulders did not do well with my psoriasis it left my scalp feeling dry and flaky. Nizoral A-D was ok but I was not able to use it daily because it felt like it was drying my scalp out but when used every 2 days it was ok. Selsum Blue was just like head and shoulders it left my scalp feeling dry, itchy and flaky.
The baby shampoo was ok if you use the unscented kind but it leaves you with an unsatisfied feeling. I didnt feel like it cleansed my scalp very well.

The shampoo that has worked the best on my scalp has been the Neutrogena T-Gel. I have tried the different lines that Neutrogena has like the T/SAL, T-Gel stubborn itch (green label), T-gel Daily control 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner but the best one has been the original formula T-Gel I use it on a daily basis with great results. Another product that I have found to be very helpful with itching and flaking is Scalpicin this is miracle liquid it comes in a little bottle you spray it onto your scalp it has a eucalyptus smell to it but relieves itching and flaking instantly. You can find all of the mentioned products at Target or Walmart but in case they are sold out Amazon has them as well I attached some lings for the two best products.
